Summer Ends & School Starts in September

Happy Labor Day!

This “unofficial” end of Silver Spring’s Summer means the pools close; weekly concerts end and schools are open.  Silver Spring’s landscape is changing too with the end of the Green Turf on Fenton & Ellsworth to be replaced by the new Silver Spring Civic Building.

We’re also anticipating new restaurants with the new Latin Cuisine of Sabroso Rotisserie & Grill opening this month and the Hook & Ladder Brewing Company coming soon in the former Georgia Ave. fire station.

FYI - Our Best of Silver Spring Contest ended in August and we will announce the winners in October.
